Wow has it already been 2 weeks since Steen Bean has arrived?! Its gone by super fast, and yet at the same time it feels like he has always been here.
Benjamin is an absolute joy to have around, and we feel very blessed! The first few days were a little rough trying to figure out breastfeeding. However knowing that he is tongue tied and watching him struggle to eat just wasnt worth it. I thought about pumping, however my milk just didnt seem to be filling him up enough so we are in the process of switching him over to formula. We are both happy with this decision and know this is whats best for Benjamin.
Benjamin is also sleeping through the night!!(knock on wood!). We feed him around 10:30 and than put him down and he wakes up at 5(like clock work!). Its funny cause when he was still in utero he would always wake up at 5 when Remko got up and he still does it:-) True farmer in the training ;-)
During the day he is great! Starting to stay awake for longer periods, which is such a joy to see him looking around. A couple days ago he even smiled at me!! And I am almost 100% sure it wasnt a gas smile, cause I could see the sparkle in his eyes. My mom got him a play mat that plays music and lights up and the last couple days he has layed on it and seems to really enjoy it.
